Job Overview

The Supply Chain Risk Manager will lead the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks across Dangote Cement’s supply chain network. Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Procurement, Logistics, and Finance departments to integrate risk considerations into budgeting and contract negotiations.
  • Maintain a risk register and produce regular reports for senior leadership, highlighting emerging threats and mitigation progress.
  • Lead crisis response initiatives during supply disruptions, ensuring rapid decision‑making and communication.
  • Train and mentor supply chain staff on risk awareness and best practices.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and quantitative abilities to evaluate complex risk scenarios.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software (e.g., SAP MM, Oracle SCM) and data visualization tools.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make data‑driven decisions quickly.
  • Knowledge of Nigerian import/export regulations and international trade compliance.
  • Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2) is an advantage.

Education

A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required. A master’s degree or professional certifications such as CSCP, CPSM, or PMP will be considered a strong differentiator.

Experience

Applicants must have 5‑7 years of progressive experience in supply chain risk management, procurement, or logistics within a large‑scale manufacturing environment. Experience in the cement or construction materials sector is highly desirable.

Salary
